At High Boot K9, we’re more than just trainers—we’re lifelong dog handlers dedicated to helping canines and their owners build strong, lasting partnerships. Together, Justin and Laci bring decades of combined experience, deep-rooted passion, and real-world results to every dog they work with.
Meet Justin
From the battlefield to the training field, Justin’s journey in canine training began with a foundation of discipline and service. After proudly serving five years in the U.S. Marine Corps—including multiple deployments to the Middle East—Justin pursued his passion for working with dogs by attending a professional dog training academy in 2013. Since then, he has become a trusted expert in obedience, behavior modification, tracking, and sport dog conditioning.
Justin’s extensive experience includes time as a private security contractor and years of hands-on work with dogs of all temperaments across the DFW area. He is a proud member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) and serves as a Pro Staff Member for Kinetic Dog Food, giving him deep knowledge of both canine behavior and nutrition.
When he’s not training, Justin is out in the field tracking big game or retrieving birds with his own dogs—always refining his craft and living what he teaches.
Meet Laci
Laci’s training roots run deep. Raised under the guidance of her father—a devoted bird hunter and trainer—she learned the ins and outs of canine handling from a young age. With a natural gift for reading dogs and building trust, she has developed into a respected trainer specializing in puppy socialization, obedience, sport dog training, retrieval, and high-drive working dogs.
Her calm demeanor, consistent results, and passion for helping dogs thrive make her a favorite among clients. Laci is especially skilled at working with energetic, driven breeds and enjoys the challenge of shaping focused, responsive companions.
In her free time, you’ll find her hunting with her Springer Spaniel and Black Lab—continually learning from the dogs she trains and lives with.
